"Do lips?"

First off, excuses excuses. I've been neglecting my blog, the keys of my laptop are growing cobwebs. I have been an iPad junkie for the last few months and too impatient to turn on  my moving like molasses laptop, but I am back! I feel recommitted to my living scrapbook and journal.

I have a new obsession to share and that obsession comes in the form of lipstick. All summer I have rocked MAC Crosswire, buy new fave is MAC Girl About Town. I'm actually wearing it now, at 1pm, while my kids are napping I'm loving my pink lips. Even Avery has joined in on this new obsession. When I get her in the morning, she looks at me with sleepy eyes and says, "Do lips?" And today we couldn't leave for ballet class until she had on her lipstick. Too cute! Looks like I will be raising a girly girl...sigh

Ballet Day 1

Today was Avery's first ever ballet class. I was so excited and nervous. She was timid and shy, but overall did very well for her first class. I was one proud Mama watching her make it through this first experience. For now it's true, ballerina, not basketball player. Although ballet does come with leotards and tutus!

I cannot believe my little girl is 2. While she does act every bit a 2 year old, I am still struggling to say that she is 2. I have freakin loved (almost) every minute watching this little girl grow.

Knowing it would be HOT for a birthday party, we set up the kiddos with some water fun.

After the party died down, Jay and I hit up the waterslide. It was so fun and brought me back to feeling like a kid. (No pictures were allowed of that)

It was a great party that humbled us to see how loved our daughter is. We are surrounded by an incredible group of family and friends. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate this very special little girl.

Chill Baby

Brenner is such a chill li'l dude that I was shocked when he rolled over. I'm so proud, I didn't know he had it in him. I was confident that he would remain an immobile baby, but he proved his Mommy wrong. A new phase, 2 mobile kiddos.

100 degrees and crazy humid, let's go to Disneyland!

We did 8 hours and 10 rides. We had a blast and headed home a hot, sticky and exhausted little family.

Old friends...

We had an amazing evening catching up with old friends. It's amazing how much life has changed, we were surrounded by kids and wrapping up the evening in time for bedtimes.

Another transition...

Brenner is ready, I'm not. I have loved waking up with my li'l butterball next to me for the last almost 4 months. His morning coos fill my heart with joy and starts each morning with a smile on my face. I would hear him talking, look over the edge of my bed into his bassinet and be greeted by the sweetest of smiles. But the time has come; he is getting bigger, busting out of his swaddle and ready for his own room. I don't blame him, his room is freakin cool!

A huge shout out and thank you to Amy Fullerton. Brenner's "Cowboy Surfer" room wouldn't be possible with out your talent, hard work and patience. Muah!

Clueless

Poor Lucy was so excited when Jay walked up to her at 7am with her leash, completely clueless that she is off to surgery. Sorry Lucy!
