Shoulda
Brenner has spent the last 10 months lulling us into a false sense of security. Shoulda named him Trouble.

I think it's almost over
After 2 days of porcelain throne praying, laundry doing and Gatorade drinking I think Avery and I are on the mend. Fortunately, Jay and Brenner have not caught this vicious stomach bug.
Today, I am still in my robe. I haven't had a stitch of makeup on or been out of my robe (except to wash it 3 times) in 3 days. Little girl has not had a single drop of milk because her stomach cannot handle it. And I seriously dwindled down my bleach supply as I walk around sanitizing.
My hubby deserves an award for the patience and care he gave us.
In quoting my good friend, "You can't spell flu without f-u"

Books
When I look a my children and think of them growing up I have one quality that I truly hope to pass on to them, my love of reading.
When we were setting up Avery's "big girl" room, we purposefully centered the bed. It left some negative space in the corner, but that is exactly what I wanted. I placed a chair and basket full books in the corner, hidden behind her bed.
In my bedroom growing up I had the same spot, where i used to sit and read, hidden from my siblings.
Today as Brenner napped, Avery played in her room. When I walked in to check on her, I found her in the corner with all of her books out reading!! It made my heart sing.

We are sick
We hoped Peruvian food, fresh air and South Coast Plaza would heal our ailing bodies, we were wrong. But a great meal and some new bling put a big smile on my face. Not Avery's face though...
