I Love Lucy

I want to wear a pencil skirt with a matching sweater set and pearls. And before I leave the house I want to place a fancy turquoise hat on my head, that is embellished with feathers and rhinestones.
When Jay gets home, I'll greet him at the door in heels, an apron, full red lipstick, and bearing his slippers. A roast will be in the oven and Jay will sit in his chair, reading the paper, occasionally glancing at his perfectly clean children playing quietly on the floor. The dog will be next to him with her head in his lap, patiently awaiting playing ball. After the kids are in bed we'll smoke cigarettes while sipping Manhattans and playing Bridge.

And now leaving the 1950s and back to reality...I'm in sweats, I haven't even figured out what to cook for dinner and Jay can get his own darn slippers! My kids are dirty, making a huge mess, and I don't even own red lipstick.

I look forward to my "I Love Lucy" viewing at 2pm, where I fantasize about putting my hair in curlers and dying it fiery red. And of course, plotting constant shennigans.
